Cancer Network Fife - About

The aims of the Network

  • To develop local access to support, information and advice for anyone in Fife affected by the diagnosis of Cancer.
  • To raise awareness within Fife communities about Cancer and related issues.
  • To develop services responsive to the needs fo the individual and the wider community.

Cancer Network Fife is strategically driven by a Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of 10 members. At present, three Sub - Committees (Human Resources, Finance and Information Resources) further support the Board. The day to day running of the organisation is the responsibility of fully trained staff and volunteers headed by the Project Co-ordinator.

We form part of the Fife Cancer Support Network , a project team bringing Maggies Cancer Care Centre to Fife. The part that Cancer Network Fife plays within the project is to the provision of community outreach services providing Cancer Support directly to the heart of Fife Communities.

Cancer Network Fife is committed to user involvement and is a user- led organisation with the position of Vice-Chair being occupied by a user. There are plans to establish a user panel within the next 18 months.
