Q. I'm worried about money, can you help?

A. Cancer Network Fife can help by providing advice regarding benefits entitlement, help with the completion of lengthy benefits forms, and if required applications for Macmillan Cancer Grants.

Q. I don't know which way to turn? I just need to talk.

A. Our outreach services and main support service in Ladybank are open to anyone who needs support of any kind because of Cancer. Our support workers are there to listen and help wherever they can.

Q. I just need some information. Can you provide this?

A. Cancer Network Fife has a wide range of Cancer Specific information available in leaflet form, Books, Videos, CD's and Cassettes, some in Large Print and Braille. We would be very happy to provide or lend you the information you require. Please contact us.

Q. Can I get support without meeting someone face to face?

A. You can telephone to speak to someone, or if you prefer use the online contact form to ask for help or advice. We can reply to you by email if you tell us this is how you would like us to respond.

Q. What kind of support can you offer me?

A. We can offer practical and emotional support on a wide variety of subjects' dependant upon individual need. We work closely with other agencies and in cases where we have no expert available, we will ask your permission to liaise with the relevant experts who will be able to help you.

Q. I don't want anyone to know I have cancer. How confidential is your service?

A. Our service is completely confidential. Your details will not be passed to anyone else without your written permission. Any written details are securely held by Cancer Network Fife purely for statistical purposes and will be destroyed when six months from your last contact with us has passed.

Q. What training do your support workers get?

A. All of our volunteer support workers are required to attend an intensive four week course devised and delivered by the NHS/Macmillan Cancer Educator. Supplementary training in the area of Welfare Benefits is given as is IT training where required. Refresher training is also available. Our volunteers are supported by the Project Co-ordinator.

A. Cancer Network Fife is a Company Limited by Guarantee with charitable status, Registered in Scotland No. SC251795, Scottish Charity No. SC028994. The Network was founded in 1999 and constituted to develop local access to information, support and advice for anyone in Fife affected by Cancer, and to raise awareness within Fife's communities about Cancer and related issues.
